AntiLaser PRIORITY is a laser-based "proximity sensing system". It provides an audible alert whenever the front of the vehicle is close to a solid object. AntiLaser shares the 904nm "infrared" frequency used by all Laser Speed Guns. Therefore it can potentially "interfere" with the operation of these devices. To avoid continued "jamming" of other laser systems, the AL Priority has a 5 second time-limit for it's transmission.
Other vehicle warning systems are using laser technology such as adaptive cruise control and blind spot warning. Providing more accurate distance measuring than ultrasonics, lasers are now also commonly used in range finders, infra red thermometers and speed laser guns.
